I don’t think the team is hungry for money. They do allocate a lot of resources for projects on the network and marketing stuff.
BRI is needed in the long run.
Though everyone can benefit better with a lower inflation rate.
I don’t think that miners will oppose smaller block reward. They can always switch to mine other coins.
Lowering block reward will just help AE live and this should be in their interests also.
