We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our 22.04 AMI tests. We’ve been tidying up our digital space across AWS, GitHub, and Vault. Node CI gets an OTP boost, versions of the node CI have been updated. We have also Fixed a certificate renewal issue on the application platform. Check the details below.

We’re streamlining and optimizing our network. Say goodbye to some older testnet nodes as we pave the way for a more robust and efficient setup. We have also done application platform maintenance with cleanups and small fixes. Plus, we’ve started moving our blockchain platform to a new configuration system. A new migration script is leading the way, triggering changes across multiple repositories.

So many important news from us. We released v8.0.0-rc1 of aesophia, added serialized (encoded) TX to the GetTransactionByHash endpoint, and added an endpoint to retrieve auction info (if any) for the name. And much more…

In the effort to lift our supported OTP-versions (to OTP-26) we encountered several issues with tests. Most of them were actual (test) problems that were previously hidden by fortunate (or unfortunate depending on your perspective) timing + one actual problem with FATE:

  • Fix problem with blockhash operation in FATE
  • Improve cleanup code in aesc_fsm_SUITE
  • Fix bug in devmode consensus
  • Bump some test timeouts

In the same OTP-26 effort, we also noticed that the CLI compiler contained an old beam-code, so as part of the 8.0.0-rc1 release, we updated the scripts to OTP-23. These scripts are mainly for the convenience of aeternity repository test SUITE - anyone who needs a particular version can easily rebuild it themselves.

We can recommend to check the details here:

We’ve addressed a bug affecting the rendering of intermediate representation in the (Erlang) Sophia compiler. Ensuring smoother and more reliable compilation for a seamless coding experience. Our collaborative efforts have extended to the release of the compiler for Ceres. We’ve collaborated on the adoption of aerepl in aestudio. In the realm of Sophia expressions, our new compiler now boasts fundamental type inference.

In response to user feedback and to provide more flexibility, we’ve made the BRI account optional. We have also upgraded ping to announce capabilities in preparation for snapshots and spine sync.

Hello. Is this AE core team update? Hyperchain is completed? What happen to Rosetta and coinbase integration? Why Dimitar and Ulf is not in the development list?

Sorry for so many question. Been a long time since I login. Thanks in advance.

Greetings, @crypto_user ! Yes, it is the bi-weekly update from the core team. We appreciate your insightful questions, and we’re here with the latest information.

Hyperchains are still in process. As soon as there are updates, we will share them immediately in the forum. Concerning the coinbase listing, feedback is being awaited.

In terms of team dynamics, please note that Dimitar and Ulf are currently on a break.

thanks for the response Marcin. I hope you can beautify your github links here. Also when did the last contact with coinbase? Apologies for asking so many question.

That’s a good discussion. As of now, we’re not aware of any fees for getting listed, and we’re waiting to hear back from Coinbase for their feedback.
