You may have heard that the Bank for International Settlements recently issued a dire warning about cryptocurrency’s impact on the environment and the overall internet ecosystem.
However, although the BIS enumerates hard forks, mining concentration, volatility, scalability and energy consumption as arguments against cryptocurrencies, it ignores many of the innovations in those domains.
