El meetup de Blocks and Beers del pasado día 25 en Villarreal (Castellón), consistió en 2 ponencias, por un lado la empresa local con gran proyección nacional Bit2me nos contó de sus últimas novedades. Luego Manel, nos explicó que es Aeternity, la blockchain, los mini bloques, diferencias y afinidades con Ethereum, los planes de Aeternity, las Dapp, la búsqueda de nuevos desarrolladores y embajadores, ICO’s en la red, próximos eventos y no se si me dejo alguna cosa más… Destacar que Manel, a través de Aeternity nos invitó a cervezas/refrescos a los asistentes.
La asistencia fue de unas 15 personas, más los curiosos que estaban por el restaurante. Más tarde nos fuimos a cenar unos pocos y continuamos la charla en un ambiente más relajado.
Se realizó una entrevista a Manel y se grabó el evento en vídeo, compartiré los enlaces, cuando se editen.

Questions from the audience: What’s the reward of miners for normal blocks and whats the reward for Bitcoin NG blocks? How do we prevent Oracles to act maliciously? Even if we do a reputation system for Oracles and they have to stake some AE tokens to participate, how can you make sure that an oracle will not suddently become malicious just for the pleasure of hurting the network?
Potential use cases: Insurances using Oracles and a decentralized system of proof of location using Oracles something like a Decentralized GPS, maybe cars could verify one and another position and location, for example.
Feedback to the æternity team / observations: We need to make clear what will Virtual Channels look like if they are going to start being implemented in the next hardfork. Also would be cool to know the Block size of our Blockchain, the the key blocks and micro blocks, even if there is not an established size like in Bitcoin, it would be interesting to know the average size of it
