Our first Developers hangout for 2020 in Jos was really awesome we had a great number of developers coming around to learn how Sophia syntax works and how to also integrate smart contract to Daepp. We had a quick run of what aeternity is and also shared the opportunities of being incubated by aeternity Ventures and the ongoing registration of the Starfleet program in India; how they can apply and participate remotely.
I co-hosted the meetup with Emmanuel and he pitched how to understand and effectively run the Sophia syntax in a live hack session. The participants coded along side Emmanuel and Goodness was also a mentor to guide the participants were their codes had errors.
In the course of the meetup we discovered that we will need to give more attention on the syntax rather than just writing the codes and deploying since sophia is a language that most developers are not familiar with.
