Human curated aepp store and list of aepps inside the base aepp

Hi,

how can we easily and quickly get a human curated list of aepps inside the base aepp. Can we not just make a simple html page (mobile optimized) on GitHub that we link to inside the base aepp aepp tab and everyone can do pull requests on GitHub to add new things (and we can review it before we make it available for everyone).

Just as a first step to get a list of all available apps in the base app @stoyan_ae @r0b0t0

Cheers

I have had discussions with @stoyan_ae about this in the past. I think it is very relevant. Having a way to include your aepp inside the Base aepp is important. Starfleet apps will be a great addition, for example, but the community should be able to add apps there as well. I agree that a method of curation should be there however. How about using the governance app for this?

I think this is overkill. I would just have a github repository where everyone can do a pull request the same way we do it with aexpansions.

Ethereum is even doing this with their main website, having all the code on GitHub and everyone can make a pull request to request change or fix a spelling error.

Bitcoin.org also does that

This way we could get the whole community better involved and people who want to contribute can easily do that by suggesting changes.

I have thought about this and got this a few months ago -> https://aepps.tech

with the idea to make it similar to https://steemapps.com/ and https://stateofthedapps.com

Though … at this point we only use it for fast aepps deployments for testing purposes.
e.g.

  • aex2.aepps.tech
  • todo.aepps.tech
  • bet.aepps.tech

Having said that I’m open to suggestions and will contribute to what we agree on here

I have spoken to Stoyan about this as well (I think Yani too). We agreed that it is the best way forward. Not sure what the plan is now.

We started working on this but encountered some limitations in the current architecture. I will chat with the team to see if we can come up with a workaround.
