[IMPORTANT] Upcoming shutdown of the old explorer

Hello æternity community,

we wanted to inform you about an upcoming change regarding our old blockchain explorer explorer.aeternity.io.

On 30 September 2023, we will be shutting down explorer.aeternity.io to keep our focus on the new official and revamped explorer aescan.io.

However, we understand that change can be a process, and to ease this transition, we will keep the legacy explorer domain available for a limited period after the deprecation with a redirection to aescan.io.

Prepare for the transition:

To ensure a seamless move, we invite you to familiarize yourself with aescan.io before the deprecation date. Take this opportunity to explore its features and functionalities.

How to migrate:

If any of your services or apps contain links to the old explorer you can easily migrate toæScan.
Most routes of æScan have the same structure of the old explorer but some of them require a new mapping:

Old route New route
/account/:accountId /accounts/:accountId
/generations/:keyblockId /keyblocks/:keyblockId
/contracts/transactions/:contractId /contracts/:contractId

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to enhance your blockchain exploration experience. If you have any question or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reply in this post.

Thanks for being part of the æternity community.

@michele will there be set up a permanent redirect for the affected routes, too?

@marco.chain Yes, to let everyone migrate to aeScan we will also setup a redirection to avoid outages for services that do not migrate to the new links in time (with the new mapping included).
