Not a lot of people sharing their mining experience here so I thought I share mine.
My setup is 6 1080Ti strix cards. Like to run them on about 1000w in total. Tried both 398.11 and 417.35.
A big tip from me is to run a voltage curve on afterburner. It gives me much better results than using the PL slider. I got my cards on 800mv running at 1708Mhz. Mem I got on +600. Seems like the algo don’t like the gpu speed to jump around as happens when you power limit the card.
I mine on F2pool. They pay every 24 hour with a treshold of 10. I wish there was a pool closer to me here in the Netherlands. Latency is pretty high.
Tried both Bminer and Hspminer, I see no big difference between them. Pool site average 24h for me is 0.350 Ksol/s. No idea if this is any good because nobody shares their experience here.
So guy’s let start it now, share your experience and tips too please!
Btw one small tip: the main mining speed is the average 24h data in the pool website, if you provide us the two miners mining result, it will be better to show the difference, for your reference.
I got multiple cards, but also have a rig with 4x 1080ti Strix card.
I also mine on F2pool.
Driver : 417.35
Miner : Bminer
Afterburner : PL 60 / Core +70 / Mem +300
Total power consumption : 670 w
max per card 3,88 - 4,21 H/s
I make use of bminer as it forms part of hiveos. Would give hsp a try if they add it. In linux as far as I am aware you cant set the voltage curve. Running 410.78. I set the core and memory the same for all. As for pl, I set it to lowest per card that run stable.
I use f2pool. The pool side hash rate varies a bit from 0.26 ksol/s to 0.31. I was messing around with my rig a couple hours ago as I moved cards so dont have a proper 24h average. Will add it if I remember later.
First time around it took some time, not sure why. I would however suggest to check the help page right at the bottom. There is a couple things you can do.
Running Bminer 12.1.0 now for a couple of hours. First on cuda 10 but then it keeps crashing. Now on Cuda 9.2 which seems better. It reports 31.5 h/s instead of 25 h/s so it seems a lot faster
It does gives me a lot more rejected shares. Now about 5%, which is pretty high right?
I’m from the Netherlands also. Did you know there is a dutch group on telegram for aeternity?
If you want to talk about mining Aeternity in your own language, look us up!
What version of bminer are you running right now? The latest release has a ~50% higher hashrate.
