Bminer 15.4.0 improve the performance of Cuckaroo29 / Aeternity and add an experimental flag --fast to improve the performance

I have a couple that crash shortly after takeoff so it’s not overheating. I don’t have a clue.

Anyone have a suggestion???

tried now hspminer with AE, works like a clockwork, means it’s a problem with Bminer on AE in my opinion.

May be but I’ll wait for 2.08:

Yeah, if you have the option and Bminer works on your end, possible. As Bminer isn’t working on my end i’am left with no other option actually.

I have/had a similar issue with 13.x. Using 12.2 does not crash for me. Give it a try.

Have you tried the lastest version Bminer 13.20?

Bminer 13.2.0 AE mining on stock settings:

  • 10.68 Sol/s on RTX 2080ti
  • 7.95 Sol/s on RTX 2080
  • 6.70 Sol/s on GTX 1080Ti
  • 4.37 Sol/s on GTX 1070
  • 3.15 Sol/s on GTX 1060 6G
  • 6.60 Sol/s on P102
  • 4.10 Sol/s on P104

I dont know how you manage rejected shares but with 13 2 0 i start again to have 50% rejected shares. Will keep 13 0 0 for now.

With so many revisions I sure wish I could upgrade via the Linux repositories.

The same two Linux rigs that crashed with 13.1 crash the PC which reboots with 13.2.
Otherwise it works fine so far.

Edit: I tried one 4-GPU rig after rebooting and it’s running fine. Accepted share 185 with no rejects.

Bminer 14.0.0 mining AE is asking to much from my cpu intel celeron g530 2.4 ghz. Its running at 100% which is a problem because hashrate is a lot less than 13.2.0 for me.

13.2.0 was allready running at 90% of my cpu. Got 6 1080TI strix cards cuda 9.2 windows 10.

Please fix cpu usage because its to much!

We’re pleased to release Bminer 14.0.0.

  • Improved Grin/AE mining speed.
  • Print fidelity information. It is a measure of the luck/miner correctness. Overtime, the number should be close to one. For miners running over two hours, the fidelity should be at least greater than 0.95.
  • Improved the miner fidelity by 8%-10%. You will not see big local difference but you will see roughly 10% higher speed on the pool side.
  • Improved multi-card performance on Windows
  • Reduced reject chance.
  • Fixed equihash issue.
  • Fix the regression that the equihash miner fails to start on Windows.

Please see https://www.bminer.me for more details.

Happy mining!

Ohhh i am impressed. I complained how between releases i could have up to 50% rejected share. With 13.0.0 i had only around 5% rejected and now with 14 i see 0 rejected share and it seems as fast. Of course it has only been 15 minutes bminer runs but so far it’s great.
About the cpu usage lol i havent noticed before but yeah on crappy cpu it takes around 99%.But i cant complain as sometimes i cpu mine while gpu mining if it doesnt decrease gpu mining hashrate.
Anyway congratulations to you Bminer :+1:

Thank you, I will try that.
Whats different in the light version?

Hi realbminer,
I can’t get bminer 14.0.0 to mine GRIN without system restart for anything more than 8 1080 Ti.
I know it’s an AE forum but have not found any other place where bminer devs are active. If you could point me to a different channel that would be great.
Running Win10 64, with swap file of >120GB, 16GB RAM, i7-7700k CPU (CPU load <30%), b250 mobo.
Latest nVidia drivers (417.71)
OC settings: +100C, +300M, 70-80% TDP (180w-200w)
I have 12 1080 ti and need to know how to get them all running without system restart.
I removed 2 and left 10, but still only 8 mine reliably.
Any contact details for devs would be appreciated.
Please reach out if you can. Happy to run tests/debug etc.
If I can get the 10 to run I’ll be happy at the moment.

As we are on an AE forum…

I went from 10.45 to 11.29 in average. No stability issue. Boys mining again grin and beam so much more AE for me lol.

edit reason : adjusting average after almost 48h.

I have a similar setup for AE and have the same issue over 8 cards mining.

Hi Rob.
Thanks for responding.
Which part of your setup is the same?
I believe it’s an algo + OS issue + mobo issue as Gminer and Ggminer have the same issue.
Something seems to be choking the cards on the pcie bus as I managed to find a '‘magic 9’ combo which only lasts a few seconds and I could see a lot of the cards dragging in performance indicating some bottleneck somewhere.
Does anyone have experience with cuckaroo29 on Linux with more than 8gpus?

Here is what I am running with differences highlighted:

Running Win10 64, with swap file of 70GB, 64GB RAM, i7-7700k CPU (CPU load <30%), b250 mobo. nVidia drivers (396)

I can get 9 GPU’s to run stable. I have found that this setup is very finicky on power. If the PS get to full load things seem to drag down.

  1. You mean your power supply runs out of juice. i.e. close to it’s max output?.
I have plenty of juice in my rig (2x2kw Super Flower Leadex “80 Plus Platinum”) and could dry downgrading to 396 drivers (not sure which point version is it) as I’ve seen these mentioned in other discussions. Any reason 396 is the recommended one?

  2. Have you tried running a different algo on the remaining cards? My experience is that you cannot run any other algo (e.g. dagger) when already running cuckatoo29 on 8 gpus. Same reset indicating systemic choke.
Good to get your view on this.

Cheers!
